Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information OffbeatForex (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects through offbeatforex.com (the “Site”) — including its store, where we sell digital products such as trading tools, expert advisors, indicators, and Claude/agent skills — and how we use, share, and protect it. Products change and new ones are added over time; this policy applies to all digital products sold through the Site, not just the ones live today.
By creating an account, making a purchase, or submitting your email for a free download, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and order information
Creating an account is required to purchase — guest checkout is disabled, so you can re-download purchases and receive free updates. At checkout we collect your name and email address only. We do not collect or store a billing address, phone number, or any physical shipping information, because every product we sell is a digital download.
1.2 Payment information
We accept cryptocurrency payments only, processed through our payment provider, Paymento. Payment is non-custodial: Paymento generates a one-time deposit address per order, and funds go directly to our wallet — we never hold funds on your behalf through Paymento, and we never see or store your wallet’s private keys or seed phrase. We do not collect, process, or store any credit card, debit card, or other traditional payment card information, because no card gateway is used. Paymento receives the order total and a transaction/order identifier needed to confirm payment; see Paymento’s own privacy policy for how they handle blockchain and payment data.
1.3 License and product activation data
Several of our products (expert advisors, indicators, and skills) use a per-purchase license issued at checkout. To issue and support that license, we store:
- An order ID and license key associated with your purchase;
- A hashed (not plaintext) version of your email address, used to match a license to an order without storing your email a second time in that system;
- A binding identifier tied to where the product is activated — for a trading expert advisor or indicator, this is your MetaTrader account number; for a Claude/agent skill, this is a device or machine fingerprint generated on your computer at install time;
- A per-order marker embedded in the downloaded files themselves, unique to your purchase.
This data exists to let you activate and re-activate the product you purchased, to provide support, and to detect and act on piracy or unauthorized redistribution (for example, if a purchased file is found posted publicly, the embedded marker lets us trace which order it came from). It is not used for any other purpose and is not sold or shared except as described in Section 2.
1.4 Free downloads and email list
Some products offer a free tier available in exchange for your email address. Submitting your email enrolls you in our mailing list using double opt-in — you’ll receive a confirmation email and must click it before you’re added or sent anything further. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any list email.
1.5 Automatically collected data
Like most websites, our server and website software log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes, and set cookies necessary for the site to function — see Section 3.
2. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the store and deliver what you bought, and with Google as described below:
- Paymento — payment processing (Section 1.2);
- Our email delivery provider — used to send account, order, and mailing list emails (Section 1.4);
- Google Analytics — site traffic and usage analytics (Section 3);
- Our hosting provider — the infrastructure that runs the Site and stores order and license data;
and where required by law, to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect against fraud, piracy, or abuse of our products.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies set by our website and store software to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and secure checkout. These are functional cookies required for the store to work; disabling them will break checkout and account features.
We also use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (such as _ga and _gid) to distinguish visitors and sessions, and sends Google some browsing data as a result — such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. See Google’s privacy policy for how they handle it. You can opt out using your browser’s cookie settings or Google’s own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, this section will be updated first.
4. Data Retention
We keep order and license data for as long as your license is active or you have an account, and afterward as needed for support, fraud/piracy prevention, and legal or tax record-keeping. Free-tier mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these, contact us at fxdavid@offbeatforex.com. Note that license and order records tied to an active purchase may need to be retained to keep your license working and to meet our own recordkeeping obligations; we’ll tell you if a deletion request affects an active license.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the data described above, including restricting access to license and order data and using signed, authenticated requests between our products and our licensing server. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our products and Site are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as we add new products or change service providers. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
